Reduce, reuse, recycle. One of our young musicians found this violin at Urban Ore. His family bought it, brought it to Ifshin Violins for a new bridge and tuning pegs and to OJW's Director, Ravi Abcarian for a cleaning. There is no label inside but after a little research it looks like this is a 100 year old French violin, it certainly has beautiful tone. See if you can tell the difference in the before and after photos

Dear Oaktown Jazz Workshops supporters, We miss performing for you at community events and look forward to seeing you as soon as possible! In the meantime, we've been busy continuing our educational programming. Our lineup of professional Bay Area musicians living in Oakland, Los Angeles, New York and Berlin are offering online, one on one music lessons for youth ages 10 to 18.
