Meet Cori (Corriander)! This beautiful bunny is energetic and curious! Cori's favorite thing to do is hop up and sit on couches. She will get a fair amount of exercise exploring, hopping around and trying to peer out windows. She isn't a chewer, but will be curious about plants or food if in site. Interested in adopting Cori? Learn more about Cori: https://www.oaklandanimalservices.org/animal-profile/

Hello from handsome Hunter! This big boy is a fan of the three Ps: Play, Pets, and Purrs. At just 1 year old, he’s still got a lot of silly kitten in him, and a surplus of energy to burn. Let him loose on a ball or wand toy and watch him go! Hunter has an affectionate side, too. He’ll call for you with his gravely meow, and happily headbonk your hands in greeting. Give him pets, and he turns his purr motor up to 11 and leans in blissfully. What more could you ask for? https://www.oaklandanimalservices.org/animal-profile/

Meet Domino! Aside from being an absolute dreamboat, this 9-month-old boy is quite the young gentleman. He'll greet you with a melodious meow and reward your attention by closing his eyes, giving you gentle nose nudges, and emitting a sonorous purr. While he's more than happy to snuggle with you, Domino has a curious and playful side as well. When he's not lounging, he enjoys exploring his surroundings, chasing balls, and playing with wand toys. Note: Because Domino is mostl...y white, and thus at greater risk for sunburn, he'll need to be an indoor-only kitty. Interested in adopting Domino? https://www.oaklandanimalservices.org/animal-profile/

Ziggy is a 6 month old puppy looking for a new home. He currently weighs about 35 lbs and enjoys playing with other dogs. Ziggy is very loving towards people he knows, and around new people he can be a bit nervous. Ziggy is available for direct rehoming from his current guardian through the Home to Home program. To learn more about adopting Ziggy, go to: https://oas.home-home.org/pet/ziggy/... Ziggy is not available for adoption from OAS. This is a courtesy posting for pets listed on our Home to Home rehoming site. Home To Home is part of our efforts through the Human Animal Support Services program to help keep pets out of the shelter and in loving homes.

Despite his perpetually sad face, we know Henley's happy to be heading home with his new family. Congratulations!

Sweet boy Rooney has been doing great in his foster home. Thanks to love and care and great food, he's gradually beefing up from his underweight status when he arrived in our care. This past weekend, he got a great outing with one of our volunteers - here's what she had to say about her time with Rooney: "Rooney was a perfect gentleman, sat when asked and was polite with treats. We hung out in the backyard a bit and he cozied up to me and fully leaned into my lap." To learn more and apply to meet 5 year old Rooney, check out his profile here: https://www.oaklandanimalservices.org/animal-profile/

Eight month old retriever mix Lexi is a big old bundle of energy, ready to take on the world! Because she's still working on her manners with humans and other dogs, we're looking for an adults-only home for her, where she can be the only dog or live with playful and tolerant dogs who can help her learn the ways of dog-hood! Lexi already weighs in at 49 pounds, so as she finishes growing she'll put on a bit more weight. To learn more and apply to meet Lexi, check out her profile here: https://www.oaklandanimalservices.org/animal-profile/

Huge thanks to our friends at East Bay SPCA for hosting Community Cat Spay Day on November 8, in partnership with FOAS and OAS! Thanks, too, to Feral Change and Island Cat Resources and Adoption [ICRA], and all of the individual trappers who showed up at the crack of dawn to help get 58 cats there to be spayed or neutered. This community effort is key to reducing shelter intake by getting cat overpopulation under control. Stay tuned for future events at https://www.oaklandanimalservices.org/petfix.

Hi, Facebook, Momma here. I'm a little shy so I'm not very good at this self-promotion thing, but the humans told me I had to get in on this Facebook cat takeover, so here I am. I really love treats, and I even let the humans pet me when they give me the good ones. I love being scratched with a back scratcher, and sometimes I'll even let the humans pet me, but that's still a little scary to me sometimes. I'd love to be a part of your home if you're up for giving me time to trust you. To meet me, Momma, check out my profile here: https://www.oaklandanimalservices.org/animal-profile/

Meet Katy! This beautiful mama-cat is all done raising her kittens and ready for a new home of her own to live out her post-motherhood retirement. Katy's still a young kitty herself, ready for a quiet home without young children around. To apply to meet Katy, check out her profile here: https://www.oaklandanimalservices.org/animal-profile/

Young hauspanthress Lila isn't quite sure about this "taking over" Facebook thing. She's a lover, not a fighter. Lila can be shy at first, and is looking for a quiet home without young kids, a place where she can blossom at her own pace. To meet Lila, check out her profile here: https://www.oaklandanimalservices.org/animal-profile/

Good afternoon, Oakland, Maria and Eliza here, continuing the Facebook cat takeover. We're not conjoined twins, promise, but we do love to hang out together and snuggle, so the humans will be sending us home together. As tortoiseshell cats, you can count on our tortie-tude coming out as we play and grow! To apply to meet us, check out our profile here: https://www.oaklandanimalservices.org/animal-profile/ https://www.oaklandanimalservices.org/animal-profile/

Hi, Oakland! The humans said it would be the CATS taking over Facebook today, but it's been all kittens kittens kittens. Well, if you're looking for a full-grown cat (I'm a year old, so definitely not a kitten anymore), check out me, Mickey! The humans say I can be a little shy at first, but wow, once I warm up I love to be petted and give them all my love! To apply to meet me, check out my profile and ask the humans for Mickey:... https://www.oaklandanimalservices.org/animal-profile/ See more
