Congratulations to these 3 former Bears. Meztli Velasguez( 3rd girl from the left) Jocelyn Pacheco ( holding the plaque) and Zaida Velasguez (3rd girl from the right). All 3 will be returning next year along with former Bear Reece Trice to repeat as City Champions!

Our team has been invited this Saturday to participate in a practice meet at Castaic High school with the Santa Clarita Storm. It will start about 8AM, and last a few hours. The long jump will be the only field event allowed and we have been asked to help in this event and no hurdles. No team tent, flags or uniforms/Tshirts with Bear logo. We can bring a tent, chairs and umbrellas but stay in our assigned area of the track. More info will be given at practice as we are told more about Saturday.

Hello, just a reminder if you haven’t turned in your Registration form, proof of athletes age, and/or $60 conditioning fee, please do so ASAP. We have to turn in all paperwork and fees to our conference in a few weeks. This coming week will be the last week we practice at 5PM on weekdays as we will move the time to 6pm once the time is changed. We will have practice Tshirts and sweats for sale tomorrow. We are selling the inventory we have and are not sure we will order more if we do not have a track season for competition. Thanks.

El Cariso has tents for Covid testing by where we normally meet by the Swimming pool. The 2 benches we usually meet at are taped off. We will meet on the east side of the workout equipment closer to the bathroom. There are benches there so that will be are new meeting location. On the weekends driveway #2 and #3 have been closed. You can either park on Hubbard or driveway #1 by the gym and walk to our practice site. On the weekdays, driveway #2 and #3 have been opened. Hope to see you. We will discuss the track season to let people know what it is looking like.

Hello, we will begin Conditioning for Track starting on Saturday February 20th at El Cariso park at 9AM. We will practice on Tuesday and Thursday also at El Cariso starting at 5 pm. Once the time changes in mid March, we will have practice at 6pm. The cost will be $60 . Right now that is just for conditioning because no track facilities are available. Not sure if we have any track competition this season, but if we do the conditioning will keep us ready. If there is a season ...of competition , there will be another fee for those who would like to compete. We will decide the amount if the season is a go. We are still required to wear a mask except when running, take temperature of all who are around the athletes, and keep the different age groups separated at best. Practice should be about an hour to an hour in a half. Applications must be filled out on the day of the athletes first day of conditioning so that the Valley Youth conference can insure them. Thank you and hope to see everyone this upcoming conditioning program.

Time Trials#2 at Central Park. This Saturday October 3rd will be our next time trial. We will have the same starting times for each division like last time. Gremlin arrive at 730am and race at 8am... Bantam arrive at 755am and race at 825am Midget arrive at 825am and race at 855am Youth and high school arrive at 855am and run at 935am 2 weeks ago went well and we hope to continue next week. Please everyone wear their mask at all time. Athletes can lower their mask once the race starts. Please leave the park after your athlete is finished cooling down unless you have other athletes racing at another time.Thank you.

Time trials at Santa Clarita Cental Park on Saturday 9/19/20. This will not be an official meet, but we can still wear our uniforms. We have different starting times for all age groups as follows: Boys and girls Subgremlin and Gremlin, Arrive at 730am and race at 8am. Boys and girls Bantam, Arrive at 750am and race at 825am.... Boys and girls Midget, Arrive at 825 and race at 855am. Boys and girls Youth and High School, Arrive at 855 race at 935am. All parents, coaches,siblings and athletes must wear a mask at all times. The athletes can run with it on or lower it, but once the race is finished, put back on the mask. Try not to have a big crowd around the team when handiing out our tags. We want to be able to run again, so by following these guidelines will be crucial incase some health officialls are watching. Thank you.

First day of practice is this Saturday August 15th at 9AM at El Cariso Park by the swimming pool. Please bring your water, running shoes, and a mask/ face covering. Parents and siblings of the athletes must have a mask/ face covering in order to be around the team. Temperatures will be checked and anyone with a 100.4 degree temperature will not be able to stay. We have strict guidelines set by Los Angeles County and the Valley Youth Conference(VYC) that we must follow. So far... we have been given the ok to practice, no meets have been approved yet, but we can be ready if we do compete. If you know of any High School athletes who would like to compete or train with the Bears since all High School sports are delayed til December, we would be happy to have them join us as long as they follow the guidelines stated in the previous paragraphs. Thank you and hope to see you this Saturday. The next weeks practice schedule is Tuesday August 18th, Wednesday the 19th, and Thursday the 20th at 6PM at El Cariso also.

All Fall sports for high schools pushed back until December.

Cross Country season is almost here. We have been given specific instructions on how to stay safe when practicing. All athletes, coaches , and family must wear a face covering at practice. More guidelines will be given to our conference as we near competition.

Hello, the team finally received the refunds from LAUSD. We will be sending out refunds in the mail in the next upcoming weeks. If you are going to be running Cross country, you can use the refund to the Registration. Please let us know what everyone's decision is if you haven't texted the coaches or responded in the team App. Thank you.

No practice today due to rain. Also LAUSD pulled our permit to use the track at Sylmar high due to the Coronavirus. All practices starting this Saturday will be at El Cariso park by the Swimming pool.
