This week we want to spotlight all of the nurses around the globe who have continued to trudge on through the fight against this deadly virus. They are one of the many professions that shines as a true superhero during the last year. We are proud to know so many of them, and hope that the vaccines have brought a beacon of hope to an otherwise destructive pandemic! Thank you for all you do! You are our heros! Tag a nurse who is your superhero! #nursesweek

"As we celebrate nurses this month one might wonder where did the profession begin? Obviously there has always been a need for taking care of the sick, but what prompted the transition from family member in the home to professional at the bedside? Step one required the centralization of caring for the sick. This central area was first called Almshouses, which were eventually turned into hospitals. Without the creation of a central place for sick people to come for treatment nursing may have continued to be something family members did for eachother. Thank goodness for hospitals! credit Music: www.bensound.com/"

The month of May is an important month for nurses. There are many celebrations during this time including Nurses Week. Throughout this month we will be talking about the history of nursing, the impact of nursing as a profession, and really just celebrating everything nurses do! For all the long, tireless, sometimes thankless hours you put in we love all of you for your dedication to the profession! Keep up the good work because the patients and their family need you. Cheers to all you do, and all that makes the profession great! #celebratenurses #nurse #volunteer #bekind #caring
