Sometimes you just have to take a step back...realize how far you’ve come along...& thank yourself with a little pat in the back. No matter where we are in life, we tend to focus on the daily responsibilities that go into managing whatever it is that we do...we can get so focused on delivering best outcomes that the original passion can get lost. When there is more to do than and hours in the day to get it all done, we can easily get overwhelmed and burned out. If you’re fee...ling stuck in a routine and uninspired....when challenges arise (which they will), it can seem totally overwhelming. Today I made an intentional effort to pause...reconnect...and reflect on my journey. I reminded myself that we are allowed to pause. I also reminded myself to keep finding reasons to hold on tight to what my vision of happiness entails. If you’re feeling uninspired lately remember this: Look for the areas in your daily activities that are in alignment with your passion to keep you inspired. Reconnect with your passion and ignite what sets your soul on fire. May you have the courage this week to begin breaking patterns in your life that no longer serve you. Give yourself permission to pause and reflect today. And remember, taking care of yourself doesn’t mean me first; it means me too.

Hello SeptemberSqueezing in the last few days of summer road trips [[[+ Social Distancing where it occurs naturally]]] The coronavirus pandemic has confined hundreds of millions of Americans like never before. A good old-fashioned American road trip will remind you to never take your freedom for granted again. Here are a few tips to make sure your next road trip is safe, sane, and life-sustaining.... Assemble A Corona Road Kit’. My husband and I just traveled for two weeks on the road and the first thing we put together was our corona kit to make sure that we could practice safe hygiene and social distancing wherever we were and in all types of different public environments. This was as much for our own safety as the safety of the people we would come into contact with. Some of the obvious basics include disposable rubber gloves (buy them in bulk), disinfecting wipes, multiple face masks or face coverings, hand sanitizer or rubbing alcohol, bleach, and a chemically-resistant spray bottle. Disinfect Your Car Frequently. Your car, truck, or SUV by definition is a mobile high-touch surface both inside and out. Your door handles, seatbelts, gear shift, emergency brake, steering wheel, turn signals, phone chargers, seat adjusters, and every other knob and button you’re constantly grabbing are potential sources to transmit coronavirus. The good news is that you and your family likely will be the only ones in your car unless you park in a garage, get valeted, or have to get service of some type. The risk is that every time you get back into your car from the grocery store, eating at a restaurant, fueling up, or checking out of your hotel you could be bringing the virus into your car with you. Use disinfecting wipes to clean down all of your high-contact surfaces every time you get back into your car, and wash or sanitize your hands before getting in. On any road trip your car is your safe space. Keep it that way. Roll down the windows. Open the sunroof. Get off the beaten track. Go some place that you’ve never been. Explore. Work on your happiness like it’s a full time job.
