I keep coming back to my breath. I even taught about the breath all week, using the affirmation My breath brings me to the present moment. Sometimes as teachers we teach what we need. From the lows as I watched the news, as I fought to stay open, through discussions with my property manager about a possibility of having to close for a week in January to add a layer to our yoga room wall -to the highs of having a random stranger walk in with a $1,000 check for Cold Cap Cutie...s and an amazing story of beating a terminal cancer diagnosis and a phone call from San Joaquin County Sheriff office asking if they could give Cold Cap Cuties their $4200 that they raised for No Shave November. How do you not let your emotions carry you away? And now, I need to cancel our in person classes. With the Stay At Home Order I can not have students coming in person. It was a difficult decision because I know how much being in person has helped so many of you. It literally is a hurt to have to close the doors. But, I just breath deeply. Try to stay present. I try to the beauty in each day.
