Most people don’t enjoy performing reagent dilutions for IHC staining We don’t either! That’s why we created the 1:1 chromogen format, which makes reagent prep a breeze for IHC procedures. Novodiax’s **NEW** ihc Magenta 1:1 Kit is a chromogen, for IHC and other immunoassays, that helps users better differentiate between positive staining and natural brown pigments in tissue. DAB chromogen is a very popular chromogen for IHC. However, it produces a brown color at the site of protein localization, which can be difficult to differentiate from endogenous brown pigments in the body (such as melanin, found in skin, and hemosiderin, sometimes found in diseased lung, l...iver, and kidney tissue). The new ihc Magenta 1:1 chromogen can provide clearer results that are easier to interpret. Pictured here, you will see two IHC stains performed on sequential frozen skin sections using the Novodiax ihcDirect MART-1 pHRP antibody in conjunction with either the ihc Magenta 1:1 chromogen (left) or ihc DAB 1:1 chromogen (right). Note how positive staining of the melanocytes (magenta-colored) is more readily distinguished from melanin pigment (brown-colored) in the image on the left, whereas that distinction is more difficult if you were presented with only the image on the right! Novodiax has developed and is marketing ready-to-use, highly sensitive and rapidly performed immunoassays fo...r in vitro diagnostic (IVD) testing. We currently have 16 IVD assays and are actively working to adapt our ihcDirect platform to assist with ROSE in the form of rapid cytology tests (under 20 minutes).
