Saturday, September 7th - Experience firsthand The Museum of The American Indian's educational and cultural activities at Novato's Miwok Park during their kotcha re-thatch, a demonstration of Native American shelter construction. Tule material that was previously gathered is applied onsite to a shelter framework in front of the Museum from 11- 5 pm. All are welcome. Free admission. New Art Exhibit opening! You’re invited to the Opening Reception for Native Artist Henry Frank. August 4, 3 pm to 5 pm, at 2200 Novato Blvd, Novato CA in Miwok Park. Refreshments will be served. Henry Frank is from the Yurok and Pomo Nations. He is also a successful photographer and has created a number of greeting cards, including some for our museum.
