Let's talk fiber! Did you know women need at least 25 grams and men need 35 grams a day? Think of fiber like a broom cleaning the inside of your body. As fiber moves through your system, it absorbs and removes bad cholesterol from the body. It also helps to regulate the body's use of sugars, helping to keep hunger and blood sugar in check too. ... Fiber also helps clean out bacteria and other buildups in your intestines and reduces your risk for colon cancer. Fiber helps keep you regular. A high-fiber diet helps you have soft, regular bowel movements, reducing constipation. So, where do you get fiber from? It can be found in vegetables, fruits, and grains. My favorite is from veggies because you’re getting antioxidants to help fuel your immune system, and they are usually lower in carbohydrates. If you increase your fiber, make sure to drink enough water at least 80-100 ounces a day to avoid constipation. If you’re constipated, that is another topic, and you may have SIBO, need enzymes, a probiotic, or getting too much fiber. Add them to your eggs, smoothies, lunch and dinner to make sure you are getting enough. #fiber #cholesterol #wellness #healthy #vegetables #food #greenveghies #SIBO #water #bloating #eggs #healthyfoods #enzymes #nourishnutrition #newportbeachnutritionist #nutritionist #lifecoach #loveyourbody #breakfast #healthyfromtheinsideout #confidence #motivation

Do you love soup as much as I do? Soups are so easy to make. Chop veggies like onions, carrots, celery and add to a pot of water. Add a little salt and pepper to taste, and when it’s close to done, meaning the veggies are tender, add some cooked chicken, or beans and some chopped kale or spinach. Be careful of canned, commercial, or soups from restaurants because they can be loaded with sodium. The daily recommendations for sodium are 2300mg, and most soups have more than that in that one serving alone. Homemade is always better.

For most of us, the only thing we can control right now is our health. That means learning to deal with stress, giving up the old stories that we are telling ourselves over and over. Making time to walk, eat balanced meals, avoid things that trigger you like comparing your life to others on social media, watching politics, staying up too late, drinking too much alcohol, especially to cope. ... I call this living in the guardrails. That means protecting your sleep, starting your day with lemon water, preparing your lunch the night before, getting 10k steps in, and drinking 80oz of water. When you feel good and eat balanced meals 80% of the time, you will handle stress better, not overeat, have fewer cravings, or mood swings. Yes, you can still enjoy the foods you like; it’s called balance. Once we stop the cravings, you will feel stronger and may not want to go back to those old ways. I make it easy for my clients to succeed by implementing three small mini habits at a time. In the first week alone, everyone says how great they feel! Wouldn’t it be nice to feel good again and fit back into your clothes? Can I get an Amen! Tag a friend and let’s do this together! See more

Because I want you to stay as healthy as possible, especially during these times I want to share this supplement with you. Glutathione benefits: * Reduces oxidative stress. * Improves headaches and migraines. ... * Reduces cell damage in alcoholic and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. * Improves insulin resistance (the reason most individuals are overweight). * Increases mobility for artery disease. * Reduces symptoms of Parkinson's disease. * Helps fight against autoimmune disease. * Reduces inflammation. * Improves gut health and sleep. * Helps with inflammatory lung diseases. Things like ibuprofen lower levels on glutathione. Low levels are dangerous during illness, especially after vaccination. Nearly every autoimmune condition has been linked to low glutathione levels. Please reach out if you have questions on brands, types, and dosage. Love you guys! In Health, Julie See more

I get text message from my clients, saying thank you, I have not felt this good in years! Almost fifteen years ago, when I worked with a nutritionist, I left her office with a photocopied one-size-fits-all diet and over $200 of vitamins. Needless to say, it didn’t work; I never took the vitamins, and later when they expired, and I threw them in the trash. ... Over the next few years, I got really into health and nutrition and found my way to get healthy and lose some weight. I had gained weight after having three babies and being in a stressful marriage. My goal in becoming a nutritionist and weight loss coach was to offer a personalized program that is specific to you, your needs, and your lifestyle. Let’s face it weight loss, and getting healthy can be hard at first; that is why I wanted to make the process easier. I like to come up with strategies for you and break everything down into small bite-sized habits that we implement together a few at a time. My number one goal is to get you to success, feel better, not crave foods, so you feel empowered to make small lasting changes. You may have tried everything, and it hasn’t worked. I know this because this is what most of my phone calls with a new client sound like. This is where my superpower comes in. Because I’ve worked with so many women, I have categories I place you in based on past success. I know what will work and what’s getting in your way. I’m good at what I do, have a lot to give, and know I can make a difference in your life... when you’re ready, I’m here for you. In Health, Julie @nourish_nutrition

Give yourself the same attention you give others. I used to give to everyone else, until I put a few healthy boundaries in place. That doesn’t mean it’s selfish; that just means that your self-care is important too. Is there one thing that you want for yourself that is a nonnegotiable or you would want it to be? Maybe it’s working out in the mornings. Ask yourself what would have to happen in my schedule for that to happen? Is it something you can make happen? Maybe you work... out every day, but you don’t have time to meal prep or make food a priority. I would just ask, is that giving you the results you are looking for? Remember, weight loss is 80% of what you eat and what time you eat. If you are looking for accountability on your journey, I work with my clients in person and virtually over the phone or computer. Direct message me for more information. Say, I’m ready, and I will do all the work from there! @nourish_nutrition See more

Make-ahead smoothie bags.Wash, chop, and your fruit and veggies and store them in freezer bags and place them in the freezer. It makes morning smoothies so much easier. Want my favorite smoothie recipe? He’s my go-to! One cup water or almond milk, 1/2 cup berries, a handful of power greens, few slices of frozen banana, @simplyteras protein powder, ice, and blend. I like to add the extras to my smoothies: 1 teaspoon chia seeds, one tablespoon ground flax, one tablespoon hemp seeds, and one teaspoon maca powder. Blend and enjoy!
