North Star Quest Camp for Girls

Last week Humboldt Interfaith Fellowship honored Dr. Teresa Francovich for her dedication and service to our community. We're happy to say that they chose North Star Quest Camp to benefit from donations in the doctor's name. Thanks so much Humboldt Interfaith Fellowship for hosting this event, and thanks Dr. Francovich for inspiring women and girls in our community.

Each summer (not this summer), we rent out the Mattole Camp & Retreat Center which is owned by the Presbytery of the Redwoods. Since NSQ was founded in the late 90's, we've never been anywhere else. Mattole Camp is as much a part of North Star Quest as our songs and philosophy. Aparently they feel the same way, because this year, even though we didn't do an in person camp, the Mattole Camp and the Presbytery donated a combined $2,000 to NSQ!!! This will help use get started again once it's time to gather women and girls for empowering fun on the river! Thanks Mattole Camp & Retreat Center and Presbytery of the Redwoods, for helping keep camp afloat!

This is the agate basket. At NSQ Camp, we carry this basket of agates to all our camp activities, so they can soak up all the "camp energy." Then, each camper gets to take one home. This year, we're giving each camper their own tiny agate basket including an agate that has been to camp for many years.
