Northside Night Market

Last week was our final Northside Night Market of 2019. Thank you to everyone who supported this event! This was an excellent first Summer in Backesto Park! We will return in 2020 for Northside Night Market! Please leave your thoughts below in the comments about how you liked the event, how we can improve it, and what you want to see next year! Here is the map for PorchFest this Saturday!! We will have several homes. Be sure to check out the event page for the map there as well. We will also be handing out maps the day of event (while supplies last). Over 10 music stages full of live music, jam sessions, art events, and so much more around Backesto Park! We will see you this Saturday (August 31st) starting at noon!

It has been a fantastic Summer! Thank you to everyone who has been a part of the first year of a special event series for the Northside Neighborhood! Northside PorchFest is happening this Saturday from 12pm to 5pm followed by the Grand Finale of Northside Night Market happening from 5pm to 9pm. August 31st is a big day be sure 12pm to 5pm

August 24th at Backesto Park we will have tacos and burritos from TAKOZ MOD MEX, bowls from Fire and Rice, and Egyptian food from Pita & Salt will be your dinne...r options for this Saturday's Northside Night Market! Plus ice cream from the San Jose Police Department's Ice Cream Truck (yes, that is a thing) Come get a bite and enjoy games and live music from our Night Market!

August 24th Backesto Park will feature lowrider, Ice Cream, Live Mexican Folk Music, and more! Northside August Night! is the last Northside Night Market before Northside PorchFest! Come out and enjoy this special Saturday featuring the lowrider from United Lowrider Council Of San Jose! Sponsored by Councilmember Raul Peralez's Office, Knight Foundation, AARP California ,Downtown Enrichment, Public Space Authority, and San Jose Parks Foundation!

Remember that August 31st is San Jose's first ever PorchFest! Live music on people's front lawns from 12pm to 5pm in the Backesto Park neighborhood!

San Jose Jazz Summerfest may have ended, but that doesn't mean the music has to end this Summer! WomenCrush Music will be putting on a Womxn Jazz Concert at Backesto Park this Saturday! We will feature delicious food trucks, notably Chicken & Waffles from Waffle Amore, live music from Joy Hackett Tracy Cruz and Jamie Zimmer! Plus we will have Succulent Gardens as a featured vendor that day. Starts at 5pm until 9pm on August 17th! Do not miss it!

Tomorrow on August 10th from 5pm to 9pm at Backesto Park come enjoy the oldies music being spun by DJ Cambleezy and DJ Emz at Northside Night Market! Plus we will have delicious food trucks, games, ice cream, and more for family and friends to enjoy! Backesto Park is a dog friendly park and Northside Night Market is free and open to the public!

What is Jazz without Chicken & Waffles, a staple of jazz artists for decades! Waffle Amore will feature their delicious chicken and waffles at Northside Night Market from 5pm to 9pm at Backesto Park!

August 31st we are having San Jose's first Northside PorchFest! PorchFest is a popular block party where musicians and bands play in the front lawns of people's houses! This is happening at noon in the neighborhood near Backesto Park and SWAAD Indian Cuisine being the first stage! We will have several homes hosting a stage with local musicians!
