Stopping the proposed sprawl Harvest Hills (formerly called Safari Highlands Ranch) development is a top priority for San Diego and our North County Group. Please take a moment to watch this video, share with your friends and family on social media, and sign the petition. The crushing defeat of a sprawl project (Measure L) in Oceanside is a bell-weather for those of us who want to protect our quality of life. We need adequate and affordable housing, smart growth, expanded ...public transportation, protection of our agricultural lands, and climate action. The message from the election was clear, the public wants Smart Growthnot sprawl! The San Diego Union Tribune’s recent article showed that Smart Growth projects are most likely to earn support from the public. Sprawl is the least likely. Now the movement against sprawl moves to Escondido where we are in a huge fight to protect our local environment, stop climate change, prevent fire losses, and provide housing for everyonenot just the wealthiest among us.
