Not a great day yesterday for sailing. However it was an epic day for the Pineapple Express that came through here for about 24 hours! Here are some great storm pics from Northern CA for your perusal.

I was involved in the 97-98' Whitbread Race, my first big sailing race and I've been hooked ever since (Thanks to Paul Cayard and Mark Rudiger). Danish Team Vestas Wind has hit a reef and has taken on water. They still may be able to get another boat and finish the race. I'll post any updates as they come in. All crew are safe. The Bay is full of HERRING right now. Here is a small video of all the Wildlife just inside Richardson Bay resting up for their next meal... Shot by my friend Jennifer Hinkel as we took her Farallon Clipper over by Clipper Yacht Harbor for a haul out at KKMI.
