North County Serenity House

NCSH opened a 140-bed Residential treatment facility for single women and women with their children. While in treatment, clients have an opportunity to participate in 12-Step recovery groups, individual therapy, parent coaching and job readiness/education programs.

Additional facilities were added, to include 4 homes for women and children, services for homeless women, 2 child development centers, and administrative offices

A comprehensive Non-Residential program, Serenity Too, was launched to serve women who did not need or could not access residential services.

Serenity's Evolution Salon, a new full service, on-site salon, opens with amazing success. A 'Day of Beauty' helps our clients look their best, while they transition back into the work force!

NCSH announces the Grand Opening of the new Career Closet, which offers the women of serenity House clothing, undergarments, shoes, jewelry, purses and accessories.

In 1972 the program moved to a small home in Escondido.
