Norman Design Group is a high-end, full-service interior design firm specializing in residential design, new construction, and luxury homes. We are currently seeking a junior interior designer that is organized, detail-oriented and passionate about the design process. The ideal candidate is highly energetic, driven, career-minded, creative, self-motivated, and works independently as well as being a team player. You must be able to help various designers with furniture, fabrics, and creative elements; help develop proposals and budgets; develop working drawings of cabinetry, tile details and interior architectural detailing;and order, communicate and track orders with vendors and assist in all aspects of the design process. You must have excellent technical skills and a minimum of 2 years of experience with AutoCAD. . . . EXPERIENCE & RESPONSIBILITIES: -Experience in the interior design industry with knowledge of general principles of design and construction documents. -Interior Design Degree. -Ability to work effectively in a team environment. -Detail-oriented, highly organized with the ability to multi-task. -Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills. -Experience with logistics (order tracking). -Ability to work with budgets & deadlines. -Ability to provide project and budget reports. -Skilled in different design technologies (i.e AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office).
