Reported 9:10am Thurs May 20 'I found this cat on Balboa in McKinleyville. It is limping and beat up. It won’t let me take it as I am on foot.' !!! UPDATE: This guy is now at the Humboldt County Animal Shelter 707-840-9132. His ID# is A100154

It’s taking me a while to post this one. Honey came to us rescued from the Hoopa dump with her two puppies. She was malnourished, skin and bones and had heart worm on top of having severe itching. She stayed with me at my home and went through treatment. We adopted out her two puppies into great homes. Honey ended up staying with me for a whole year. She’s been one of the best dogs I’ve had the pleasure in rescuing. My heart didn’t want to let her go but I knew one day the perfect family would come along. Well thanksgiving day we met at the store and she’s been living her best life every since. As much as it breaks my heart letting her go I know to continue to help other animals I can’t keep everyone I rescue. I will forever hold a speacial place inside my heart for this sweet girlNORCALPETRESCUE
