I heard Mark Bell say this recently on a the Fundamental Health Podcast with Dr. Paul Saladino (The Carnivore MD). They were discussing getting enough Vitamin D and it seems the best way to get vitamin D is not through a pill but by being outside and eating the right foods. Examples: Doing To Yourself: Taking a pill. ... Doing For Yourself: Taking a walk, Going to bed at the right time, Eating the right foods for your body, etc.... #CarnivoreMD #MeatHeals #LCHF #Vitamin D #Immunity #Fundamental Health

We have known for a long time that selenium plays a role in combatting viruses. This has been shown in HIV and other viruses. https://bit.ly/3cabWZc A recent study shows that Regional selenium status could be affecting C-19 disease outcomes. "Selenium is an essential trace element obtained from the diet (i.e. fish, meat) which has been found to affect the severity of a number of viral diseases in animals and humans."... https://bit.ly/3eqsAVO See more

Frankly, I just don't understand why anyone would want to eat fake meat. It's weird. There, I said it. Why simulate a food when you can just eat a real burger that is much better for your health and your sanity? Also, why do you want to be a foot soldier for the Industrial Food Complex and Big Pharma Cartel? Beyond Meat Ingredients:... Water, Pea Protein*, Expeller-Pressed Canola Oil, Refined Coconut Oil, Rice Protein, Natural Flavors, Cocoa Butter, Mung Bean Protein, Methylcellulose, Potato Starch, Apple Extract, Pomegranate Extract, Salt, Potassium Chloride, Vinegar, Lemon Juice Concentrate, Sunflower Lecithin, Beet Juice Extract (for color). In other words, chemical sh*t storm. Grass-Fed hamburger ingredients: Protein, water, fat. In other words, real food. Fake meat: When I say chemical, I mean Canola Oil. And no, I don't care if it is "expeller pressed". Canola oil is a highly unstable, toxic industrial seed oil that leads to inflammation in the body, deranges the metabolism and reduces your body's ability to fight infections. As we ingest these seed oils, over time the body fat and the cells of the body are constructed of these compromised chemical bonds. It is like building scaffolding with styrofoam balls, the integrity of these cells are broken and unstable. The inflammation produced also leaves the cells more prone to toxic burden-- good stuff can't get in and bad stuff can't get out. Pea Protein is also a problem. Pea protein is a highly processed food that can be prone to higher amounts of heavy metals. In particular, lead. This is because peas (and other processed vegetable-based protein powders like rice) are very efficient at soaking up heavy metals from soil. In other words, get your protein from high quality, unadulterated animal products. If you are a vegetarian, go with unprocessed whole plant foods. It's that simple.

More evidence is coming out almost daily on the effects of Vitamin D on COVID-19. Nutshell: This study took a look at 152 countries over the course of 108 days during the pandemic. As the UV index went up, COVID-19 deaths and new cases went down. The higher the UV index (UVI), the more exposure you get to optimal levels of UVB rays. When UVB rays react with human skin, the body makes Vitamin D, a powerful immune modulating pro hormone. When the UV index goes up (above 3), UV...B wavelengths go up and there is better Vitamin D synthesis. Sunscreen blocks UVB rays. You will not make Vitamin D if you wear sunblock. That said, you do not want to burn. Wear sunscreen when necessary but don't overdo it. Smart sun exposure involves getting the right amount of sun exposure for your skin type at the right time of day. The darker your skin, the more exposure you need to synthesize Vitamin D. For instance, I get 15 minutes a day around the time the UV index is sufficient, but usually no more than that since I am of Northern European descent and my skin is fair. I use sunblock (zinc) when necessary and I make an effort to never burn!

There is no doubt that sometimes Rx's or Supplements are a necessary bridge on the path to getting well. But very often we search for the first pill to pop when seeking answers. For instance, taking Vitamin D will increase blood serum D levels but does it address the cause of low Vitamin D in the first place? Likely not since low D is seen in many chronic illnesses. We should address the root cause of these illnesses while also doing our best to get what we need!
