Today, we lost a very special member of our Paris family, Megan Svoboda, administrative assistant and loving daughter of Doreen Birney, General Manager of Paris... Beauty College. Megan, 34, suffered a cardiac arrest on July 6th and was unable to recover. We prayed with all our might to keep Megan here with us but God had other plans for her. Our whole Paris family is devastated and heartbroken. Please pray for Megan’s 6 year old son and continue to pray for peace and strength for Megan’s family. See more

With all of the negative post, press, and so on I thought I would relay something positive. I went to Sam's club today and took a company check, I kinda rolled ...it up not to fold it and put it in my shirt pocket with my glasses case. I loaded up my cart and went to pay and low and behold the check was gone. I searched the big ass store for the check and asked all the tellers, management, and customer service if anyone had turned the check in, but no one had. So I left my fully loaded cart and left the big ass store because I only brought the one check and went back to the school. I went online and created a stop payment, but in my haste put in the wrong check number. So I called the bank and it took them 15 minutes to track it down and change it to the right number check and then proceeded to tell me that I needed to close this account and open a new one because whoever found my check now had all the routing numbers and such. This is no minor ordeal to change a bank account for a business and as we were discussing how to go about it, the front desk called and said a woman wanted to talk to me, I met her at the front, she was a nice older lady that handed me my lost check. She had found it and drove to the school to return it to me. I could not believe that she would have done that. She refused to take a reward but I insisted and gave her a ticket to get any service we offered at no charge, I do hope this nice honest lady uses it! So the moral is discounting all the dumb things I did and could learn from, is that there are still good honest people in the world! See more
