West Ottawa High School Senior Nayeli Mora was recently named the 2021 Youth of the Year for the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Holland. From the article: Mora plans to become a lawyer and said today’s youth need to use the tools available to them to combat systemic racism in the American education system. We need future leaders like Naeyli Mora pursuing a legal education. NLLSA has proudly invited Ms. Mora to attend our 24th Annual National Conference free of charge. As an attendee, she will be able to attend our informative panels as well as our PreLaw workshop and Law School fair. This is thanks in part to the generosity of our conference sponsors and NLLSA familia. When you make a contribution to NLLSA you are directly changing the lives of future Lawtinas like Ms. Mora. Congratulations, and see you at the conference!

Three NBA playoff games have been boycotted tonight in response to Jacob Blake, an UNARMED Black man who was shot by police 7 times leaving him paralyzed from the waist down. Blake was shot on Sunday in Kenosha, Wisconsin in front of his 3 young kids. We’ve tried peaceful protests, riots and nothing has changed. Police are flagrantly abusing their power and enough is enough. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again BLACK. LIVES. MATTER. ... Images courtesy of @sportscenter.
