We will help make this Annus mirabilis, not Annus horribilis!!!! Looking forward to being back again at the Nixon Library. Annus mirabilis is a Latin phrase that means "marvellous year", "wonderful year", "miraculous year" or "amazing year". This term was originally used to refer to the year 1666, and today is used to refer to several years during which events of major importance are remembered. Prior to this, however, Thomas Dekker used the phrase mirabilis annus in his 1603 pamphlet The Wonderful Year.
Volunteers Bill Dingfelder (eft) and Stan shantar caught up with "President" George Washington during the grand reopening of the Richard Nixon Presidential Library on May 20. A long-awaiting event with volunteers and visitors so happy to return.
To all our docents and friends best wishes especially for a great 2021.
Please support and like our page and forward to other docents and friends.
It's beginning to look like Christmas at the Nixon Library as docents play Santa's helper trimming trees for the Lobby. #presidentiallibraries #yorbaLinda
These Christmas elves decorating a tree for the Nixon Library are actually docents (from left) Darlene Horodysky, Marge Garvey and Karen Moore.
