ATTENTION Seniors & Class of 2021 Parents, We have progressed from full closure, distance learning and a hybrid model to announcing full in-person instruction this next fall. The recent improvements in COVID cases, vaccination rates and lessening of restrictions has instilled greater optimism for the possibility of many of the traditional end of year activities. As our district communicated on Friday, April 2nd, each high school is planning in-person graduations for the Cla...ss of 2021 that are safe for graduates and guests, and approved by the local public health authorities. As we await this exciting news, we are ecstatic to announce that the county department of public health has provided approval for a Drive Through Cap & Gown/Yard Sign Pick-Up and In-Person School Prom! Prom will look different than in years past, but we are excited to have the opportunity to have it. We will host a Senior Prom on campus, free for each member of the NHS Class of 2021. We will get you more details soon. Additionally, we have proposals for other end of year Class of 2021 celebrations including Senior Awards, Breakfast & Picnic. If approved, each event may require review and could be revised based upon guidance from the county department of public health. We are optimistic that as our county progresses, we will be afforded greater flexibility to celebrate the Class of 2021. We have received approval for the following events and we will be providing more details soon: 4/30/20: Cap & Gown/Yard Sign Distribution - NHS Parking Lot Drive Thru Event (10:00am - 1:00pm) 5/22/21: Senior Prom - NHS Quad RSVP Event - Seniors Only (8:00pm - 10:00pm) No underclassmen or outside guests We are so glad that we will be able to celebrate not only your academic achievements, but the incredible sacrifices required of you and the relentless perseverance you have demonstrated.
