Magical Monday I purchased @amandadiazdotcom butterfly overlays last weekend and tried them out on this cute shot from Maddie’s birthday shoot. I love adding fun magical elements to my images, but struggle with making sure it looks mostly realistic. I suppose the more I try, the better i will get at it

The Collin's Family This is another good friend of mine Heidi and her adorable family. I love it when kids love the camera and these two made the session a breeze and so much fun.

The Lawrence Family This is my good friend Danielle and her beautiful family. I love being able to photograph her boys over the years and watch them grow. I also love it when grandma joins us and we can sneak in a few shots of her with her grandkids <3

As many of you know, I took a little break from photography with everything going on in the world, but it sure felt good to pick up my camera again. This giant grasshopper was hanging out on my roses yesterday and tolerated me poking my camera in its face surprisingly well. Apparently now I am a bug photographer ;)

I finally pulled out my beloved camera and snapped some photos in our backyard last week. I can't say I'm a big fan of yellow jackets normally, but their nest is quite beautiful and these critters seemed just as curious about me as I was about them.

Fun fact: I took approximately 100,000,000,000 photos of this cute little bee in my backyard hoping I got the perfect shot and I am pretty happy with this one.

I don't think I will ever feel too old to play dress up, but I do wonder if my neighbor ever sees me in my backyard wearing wigs and princess dresses taking photos of myself and thinks about how odd I am ;)

After I did my self-portraits I convinced Mason to let me take a couple photos of him. He gave me a big cheesy smile and I took a few shots, but then I told him to give me a serious face and I snapped this one and I love it

Self-portrait to mark my 37th Birthday that just passed. I was inspired by a fellow photographer who takes her own photos every year to celebrate her birthday. I dressed up in a pretty princess dress and took a few photos in my kitchen and this was one of my favorites <3 Also - let me know if you want to do a fun portrait session like this. You don't need an excuse to get dolled up and take photos. One day you'll be happy you did it for yourself!

Raven's Senior Photos <3 You may not be able to tell from the photos, but it was freezing so we decided to wait on her second outfit/dress photos and take those when it warms up. These were some of my favorites :)

Engagements are not my specialty, but when Thea told me she really wanted me to take her photos I accepted and I am so glad that I did. These two made the shoot so much fun and I could not be happier for them <3

This morning I finished my last session of 2019 in the freezing cold (ok freezing for California anyway!). Thank you to all my wonderful clients & friends. As many of you know, I only took on a select few this year due to personal reasons. I very much look forward to starting up more personal projects early next year

The Lawrence Family <3 I may be oversharing here, but I really couldn't narrow them down. These were taken on their property so we had to bring in their chickens for a few photos. Fun fact - their rooster (named poopie) chased Mason while we were there and I may have laughed a little bit :D

The Mark Family! I was so excited when Kelly told me she was bringing her dad along for photos. You can never have too many photos with your parents & grandparents <3
