From my heart to yours.... What if we all set aside our differences of opinion, our need to be right and validated, our judgment towards our fellow humans and the choices they make? What if we step outside of our personal stories? What if we lay aside our beliefs, our filters, and perceptions, for even just a few moments? Consider what our world would be like if we stopped seeing things as black or white, conservative or liberal, right or wrong, mine or yours, us or t...hem, good or evil? What if we all focus instead on love, compassion, gratitude, harmony, forgiveness, humility, peace, equanimity, acceptance, and even more love...? Imagine, if we take a few moments to drop it all, to just let it go, and just BE. Imagine, if we allowed ourselves to take a few deep breaths into the spaciousness of our hearts, and expand into the love that is inside us and all around us. What if, in that space, we could step outside of the duality of who’s right and who’s wrong, and instead, embrace in unity and realize that we are all ONE? What if we unburden ourselves for a few moments, of the limited mindset that we are separate individuals? This virus and global situation is such an incredible teacher, if we listen to the underlying truth. We are not separate. We are connected intimately, beyond our wildest imaginations. What affects you, affects me, and affects all of us, with lightning fast speed across the planet. We are all in this vast ocean of consciousness together, and even our thoughts ripple outward and affect those we see and don’t see, those we know and don’t know. It is our choice what we want to broadcast... What if we all just take a collective break from the stress, worry, fear, and blame? What if we all just breathe deeply, as one humanity, and embrace one another in unconditional love?... This is what I’m dreaming of.... All of humanity broadcasting vibrations of peace, love and understanding, and that for even just a few moments, we could connect in that field together. Imagine the possibilities, and imagine what would ripple out from those thoughts and sensations. Imagine... Peace and Blessings
This is such an important time to nurture ourselves and our children. They pick up on our stress and anxiety, and often internalize it. Limiting tv, and especially news coverage of what’s going on, can really help reduce anxiety. My son loves nature documentaries, so occasionally we watch those, and it’s amazing how soothing they can be. My other suggestion to add to this list, is to get outside as often as possible, and into nature if you can. Sunshine and fresh air ar...e so healing and uplifting. Extra time for play and laughter also help clear the energy of stress and anxiety. My son has been wanting to do what he calls tickle wars several times a day. We always end up laughing tons and connecting more deeply when we play. Do you have anything that has been helping you to cope and thrive through quarantine? I’d love to hear what self-care rituals are helping you through this phase.
Vitamin C has shown some promising results as part of a treatment plan in several countries. It’s great to see NY starting to implement C and D now. Vitamins C and D, as well as zinc, could be helpful preventatives as you boost your immune system.
