This week in wine packages: Co-Ferment/red and white blends pack and Orange pack, each $140. We find the wines in both of these packs to be especially appealing as we tiptoe out of summer but are not quite in the midst of fall. The wines possess all the refreshment of summer slammers but provide for a little more mystery and intrigue. Of the Fins Al Kullons, wine director @mkepling remarks, A delightfully invigorating blend of xarel-lo, garnacha blanca and sumoll, each fer...mented separately before they are combined in cement vats for 9 months. Despite its light-bodied, translucent appearance - this wine packs a punch with tart red currants, crunchy hibiscus and some grippy tea-like tannins. Vivaciously edgy and utterly energizing. Sunday night projects: Tiger Prawn Nam Prik Noom. Pass the sticky rice!

Two blockbuster wine packages for this weekend! First pack consists of wines from the Auvergne, the idyllic and pastoral region north of Beaujolais, as @mkepling notes. In this pack, you will find wines that sadly are no longer so easy to come by...wines from producers like Jean Maupertuis and @vincentnocontrol. 2 gamay and 2 Chardonnay, $150. These wines won’t last long on our shelves! Next up is a pack of 4 orange wines from different places and with varying degrees of sk...in contact. One standout is the Triple Point from François Xavier Dauré (Domaine Lampyres) who cut his teeth at Domaine Matassa. Says Peggy, Lightly macerated Macabeu vinified on Muscat à Petit Grains lees - ingraining a salaciously aromatic vein filled with pineapple, jasmine, and bergamot orange.
