Here’s a collection of photos of me attempting to live my best life. May is mental health awareness month, and the only way to destigmatize mental health is to talk about it! And I’m a big advocate of talking about your mental illnesses. So hi! I am Nicole I have been diagnosed with severe depression and general anxiety disorder. I take medication everyday and going to therapy is an uphill battle I have yet to conquer. I have good days I have bad days. I’ve had a couple ex...periences where I didn’t want to be here anymore to be quite honest with y’all. I truly appreciate my friends and family and most importantly David and my pups for being my biggest support system. I think it’s super important to have someone to talk to about your mental health! So I’m here for you if you ever want to talk it out. Having mental illness does not mean I cannot capture your love story any worse/better than someone without, if anything I work better because it genuinely makes me happy and makes me forget about my anxiety/depression in the moment because I’m so focused on how happy my couples are. Smell ya l8r Joshua Tree!! You were good to me!! Worked with so many fun couples these last two days. Fun fact, M is a friend of my dad’s and her partner is in a band.. A certain band that was interviewed by a certain collective several years ago. DISCLOSED MUSIC!!! Super smal world!! I interviewed his band like 5 years ago and was pleasantly surprised to see that we crossed paths again, but this time for maternity photos and not band photos. ... Anyway, can’t wait to share the rest of the desert goodness I got to capture.

How I feel about today’s wedding day with these two!!! Goin’ back to the beautiful coastal beaches of Malibu!!! And today is a beeeeautiful day! Perfect for an intimate elopement ceremony!

These two were extremely fun to work with 10/10 recommend. They very much wanted a Simpson choking picture and I wasn’t gonna stop ‘em. Can’t wait to be out in Joshua tree again next month @ Joshua Tree, California

New edits on old sessions. Enjoying my last weekend before sessions start picking up again. Tbh I’ve felt lost without having anything to shoot/edit. So I am excited to start up again! These two got engaged at Casa Romantica, and it was beautiful!!! Getting proposed to overlooking the ocean. 10/10 recommend.

And this is how I decide to end 2020. A pregnancy announcement, from one of my past brides. And also the best parents-to-be! S is so kind and nurturing, J is silly and has a sick stache. What more can you ask for?? I originally was asked to take their anniversary photos and at the end of our session they had me turn around (whuuut?? Don’t kill me pls) I turned back around and they were holding this out to me!!! I screamed and shed a few tears. I cannot wait for these two to have their baby and be parents.
