God’s word tells us that pride goes before a fall and it does seem that just when we get caught up in our own magnificence, we so often experience a heavenly-sent smack-down. It's okay to go ahead and laugh at me. Everyone else I tell this story to does.

Someone asked me one time, "What determines if we are really a Christian?" What a great question that was! In this AMEN Corner, there are five stories about people who call themselves "Christian" but are they? Before we can answer that, we need to see how the Bible defines a "Christian." Is it what we believe? Or what we do? Or maybe all that and something more? After you've read this week's devotional, then decide if the five people I write about are really Christians.
