I get to meet a lot of awesome people. But meeting @evalove4you and hearing her story and what she’s doing during this hard and difficult time for every small business not only inspired me, but filled my heart with so much love. Restaurants are the industry that have been hit the hardest from this pandemic. WIth the lockdowns, and insane restrictions, working at a restaurant let alone running one.. Is damn near impossible. ... Restaurant owners completely had to adapt from being able to serve their customers in house, to completely take out orders or delivery. And if they are allowed to serve their customers, they would have to do so at under 25% capacity or build an outdoor space. Chef Eva is running her business at costs. Meaning she is making enough just to break even. Business owners do not go into business to just break even. We go into business to serve our community and to make a profit. We as American’s are being played left and right by politicians that do NOT have our best interest. 60% of small businesses will never come back, and in most parts of California, are still shut down. On Monday, Nancy Pelosi did not follow the mandates that she imposed on our state. She was able to get her hair done, while none of us can. ... The hypocrisy is sickening and I have no idea why fellow Californians are not furious seeing our elected officials tell us to do something, while they don’t follow what they say. Barber’s & salons should ALL open up and NEVER close again. That goes for any and all businesses as well. Barber’s & Salons spend 1500 in school to take care of their clients in the most sanitized way possible. One of the hardest working people I know and also had big aspirations and dreams growing up. Johnny built his career and business from the ground up like most people. He had a dream, made a plan, and executed until that dream became a reality. ... It’s not easy becoming a barber, and even harder to own your own shop. First you need to have minimum of 1500 hours of training, then pass an extensive exam before getting your license. Most barbers work at someone’s shop for many years before earning enough to open their own shop. It takes a tremendous amount of work, discipline and patience to finally call yourself an owner. 2020 has been an insane year.. The craziest year of my life. So many horrible things happened this year. Global pandemic, police brutality, civil unrest, citizens turning on each other, killer hornets, media & politicians lying to us 24/7, election year & our leaders acting like babies.. Whoever makes 2020 into a movie will have the best movie ever made. Cause damn.. ... But what the media and our elected officials are not talking about are small business owners that already lost everything or will lose everything because of the lockdowns that should be over already. Small businesses are the backbone of America and our economy. They employ a majority of Americans and without them, our country will fall apart. I truly believe it’s unfair that big corporations can remain open but small businesses cannot.. Or if they’re allowed to be open, can only operate at under 30% capacity. Small business owners did not go into business to lose money or break even. They went into business to serve their communities and to make a profit. Since our leaders want to hide and play politics, I will go around my community to interview and spot light as many businesses as I can. The first business that I interviewed and spot light is my cousin Johnny’s Barbershop in San Carlos, CA. Barbershops & salons go through many months and thousands of hours of training to take care of their clients in the most sanitized? Clean? Way possible. Our Governor will not listen to the thousands of barbershop & salon owners in California and will not be satisfied until every small business in our great state is out of business.
