My Uncle Ron Cohee just finished this beautiful 1956 Ford F100 Big Window. This was a full frame off rebuild of the entire truck. New Paint, Chrome, Seat, Upholstery. I asked Ron the story of the truck. Q: Why a P71 Crown Victoria Pursuit Vehicle as a base? A: I was driving down the highway, driving next to a highway patrol car, a Crown Victoria. Not just any Crown Vic, but a P71 Crown Victoria Pursuit Vehicle. As we drove along he suddenly hit his lights and took off so fast it shocked me. It was flat out Quite, Fast and Smooth. Then It dawned on me that it was a FORD! Plus the P71 is built for performance but super reliable and long lasting smooth performance. All those high quality components, suspension, brakes, transmission, and engine. That was it, I was set on building something different than anyone else. I've done so many 56 truck projects and I was just so tired of the same old thing....you know...a 302/351 Ford or a Chevy 350, 9" Ford Rear End, and a Mustang 2 Front End. I've built so many of those but you see them everywhere. I wanted this vehicle to be special, pure Ford, handle well, be very comfortable, and be super reliable. I'm lhappy with the turnout.
