I'm grateful for the life and continuing ministry of Dr. Greg Harris. His yet-to-be-published manuscript of The Cup and the Glory was the reason I went to seminary. While working as an engineer, I planned to enter pastoral ministry without attending seminary when I read an unpublished manuscript by some professor on the east coast. My heart resounded with the simple, but profound truths in that photocopied document which was later published as The Cup and the Glory. I decided that if this was what you learned in seminary, I couldn’t skip that part of the process. Little did I know that the man who wrote that book, Dr. Greg Harris, would eventually become my teacher.
