California's The Salvation Army Long Beach Citadel is delivering an average of 250 food boxes each week to seniors #SaferAtHome, providing not only physical nourishment but also human contact. Cadet Kristin Boyd, currently assigned to the corps with her husband, Cadet Jeff Boyd, explained how it began. "One of our senior clients, 'Miss C,' called and asked our social service manager if we could deliver a food box to her because she was afraid to come to the office to get her weekly box," Boyd said. "We happily made a courtesy delivery for her. We did not realize how social 'Miss C' is, and before long, she had all of her senior friends calling in with food box delivery requests. This began our weekly senior food box delivery program...It is a joy and an honor to serve in this way." #FightForGood

As distance learning continued in the fall for schools in Los Angeles, so did the challenges for families without reliable internet, enough electronic devices, ...or supervision for children whose parents needed to go to work. After sharing concerns over this situation on Facebook, Kathy Lovin, Stacy Williams, and Talitha Phillips joined forces to come up with a solution. Together, they founded a learning center program taking place in two sites: The Salvation Army Inglewood Citadel Corps and Cornerstone West Los Angeles. #FightForGood
