New Standard Equities has been busy in Northern California! At Alterra in Silicon Valley, our leasing office remodel was completed in early July and has been the perfect complement to this sprawling 5-acre community in the Alma-Almaden neighborhood of southern San Jose. At Casa Serena in the San Francisco Bay Area, we've completed the exterior paint as part of a larger plan to recapture the original hacienda style of the building that coincides with our rebranding of this cha...rming community in Fremont, CA. The leasing office remodel is also underway and will include reconfiguring the current space and adding design elements which will match the hacienda style exterior. There's been a lot of action going on at New Standard Equities in the Pacific Northwest! NSE was able to continue with several value-add projects in this region, even while managing our portfolio through a pandemic. These are just a few highlights from recent projects at two of our Pacific Northwest communities... At WaterView in Bremerton, WA, construction is currently underway on our Leasing Office and Clubhouse remodel, and should be complete in September. The new Leasing ...Office design will modernize and maximize the use of this space for both our team and residents. Over at Majestic Bay in Des Moines, WA, the exterior received a much-needed facelift, with a sophisticated new color scheme and a sleek new monument sign featuring our new logo that was installed in June. Plans are also being made to add a free-standing Leasing Office and Fitness Center there in the near future. This new facility will provide residents with a brand new amenity, which is especially useful considering that most people are trying to find ways to stay active without leaving their homes. NSE has its own HERO DAY on June 26th, where we celebrate our onsite teams working on the front line. Thank you, Apartments.com and the NAA, for kicking this off a well-deserved appreciation with the nation, honoring the vital rental housing professionals who have kept our rental housing communities together during the COVID-19 crisis. With so many new daily protocols and restrictions being implemented throughout our lives and workplaces, our onsite teams have continued to serve the over 40 million Americans calling apartments home on a daily basis, often going above and beyond the call of duty. Not only has the team at Alterra been giving our best efforts to focus on the health of our residents & staff, but we've also maximized our time working from home and completely renovated our leasing office! Because of strict social distancing guidelines, we've been working away from the office and were able to make improvements where needed. We will continue to keep the property clean & sterilized, as per CDC guidelines, and are excited to begin our NEW 3-Phase Reopening Plan when state & local restrictions are relaxed.
