Grass Valley Seventh Day Adventist Church 12889 Osborn Hill Rd, GV TODAY THURSDAY from 10am-12pm We have food for anyone who has been impacted by the PSPS event, displaced by fire evacuations, or need additional support this month. (For families that lost all of their food in their fridge from the power outage, we are here to help.) We will have milk, veggies, bread, meat, and other great items for everyone. Effective this morning, Cal Fire's base camp for the Jones Fire has been moved to the Nevada County Fairgrounds. The county's small and large animal evacuation... center is also on the grounds. There are more than 330 animals on site - cats, dogs, horses, sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, tortoises, pigs, llamas, alpacas, cattle and rabbits. As of this morning, the needs for the animal evacuation team are as follows: Pig food, paper towels, metal dog leashes, dog collars (all sizes), horse lead ropes, trash bags, Ziploc gallon bags, hay nets, and grass hay and straw.
