ARTINFO: The pairing of Elton John and the Pope in the form of high-wattage signage suggests a curious, unexplained relationship between the two men/mega-stars. Perhaps the artist was inspired by Bruce Nauman’s 1967 neon work The True Artist Helps the World by Revealing Mystic Truths.
