NorCal Womens Dept ‘If you [really] love Me, you will keep and obey My commandments.’ (John 14:15)... Love is an Action Word At some point in time we all have heard the expression, ‘talk is cheap!’ Talk is cheap is an idiom that has been used since the 1800s. The phrase talk is cheap means it is easier to talk about doing something than to actually do that thing. Many people say they will do something but never do it. The first and greatest commandment is, ‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your being, and with all your mind. And the second is, ‘you must love your neighbor as you love yourself.’ (Matt. 22:37CEB) God is LOVE! God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him won’t perish but will have eternal life. God shows His love by forgiving us of our sins, and by bringing us into His family. When we are adopted into the family we receive Salvation: deliverance from sin and it’s consequences Strength: power to live life on purpose Hope: confident exception of what God has promised Comfort: to lessen the sadness of sorrow Fellowship: to have an intimate relation with Christ. This is just an abbreviation of the wondrous love God has for us. God instructs us to love by our actions. We show our love for God by taking time out to Give Him Praise. ‘All the glory, the honor, the praises all day they belong to God.’ We show our love for God by spending time with him through pray and meditation. ‘Now let us have a lil talk with a Jesus, tell him all about your troubles. He will hear the faintest cry and answer by and by.’ We show our love to God by giving our whole body back to him. ‘My body belongs to God, my soul and body belong to God.’ We show our love for God by being an extended hand to those in need. ‘Throw out the lifeline across the dark waves, their is someone who has gone astray.’ Just as the Lord did for us, we should do for him. In loving others let us remember ‘The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, Slow to anger and abounding In lovingkindness. (Ps 145:8AMP) We too must strive to exemplify the love of God in our daily lives, among real people which includes those close to us. ‘Above all, have fervent and unfailing love for one another, because love covers a MULTITUDE of sins [it overlooks unkindness and unselfishly seeks the best for others]. In closing, we need to be energetically at work spreading the Love of God. Hugs of Love, LadyVMacklin

A weekly word of encouragement from our First Lady Macklin: NorCal Department of Women ‘Whatever God has promised gets stamped with the Yes of Jesus. In him, this is what we preach and pray, the great Amen, God’s Yes and our Yes together, gloriously evident.’ (2 Corinthians 1:20 AMP)... A Promise is a Promise In a world filled with broken promises it is comforting to be reminded that God will keep his promise. In Scripture, the promise of God is the declaration or assurance which God has given in his word of bestowing blessings on his people. Such assurance resting on the perfect justice, power, benevolence and immutable veracity of God, cannot fail of performance. ‘The Lord isn’t slow to keep his promise, as some think of slowness, but he is patient toward you, not wanting anyone to perish but all to change their hearts and lives.’ (2 Peter 3:9 CEB) Not only does God keep his promise but God is gracious, merciful, compassionate, and slow to anger. Always remember: God loves you unconditionally. (Romans 8:38-39) You are never alone. Psalms 121 God formed you with intention and knows you intimately. Psalms 139 You are who the Bible says you are. Isaiah 43:1 You are redeemed and have an eternal home in heaven. John 3:16; 14:1-4 God’s plan for your life is to prosper you, not to harm you. Jeremiah 29:11 The risk that God is calling you to take is worth it. Galatians 6:9 You have special strength available to you through faith and the power of Jesus Christ. Philippians 4:13 God hears your prayers and can move through them. John 14:13-14 Hope is always alive in your life through faith. Psalms 126:5 It is evident that God has laid the foundation now it is up to the individual to do their part. Daily remind yourselves that yet in all these things I am more than a conquerors and I gain overwhelming victory through Him who loved me. Regardless how your world is turning believe and daily confess the promises of God. Ladies, stay with God. Blessings, LadyVMacklin
