Recently, we've had several requests for a comfrey cream (we do carry a comfrey oil by Herb Pharm) and we found one that met our standards for potency and quality. "Traumaplant" from Terry Lemerond's Europharma is the perfect fit: sourced from the Bavarian Alps, where it was cultivated and popularized by Benedictine monks in the Middle Ages, this is the potent "uplandicum" variety. The Napa Valley Juice Bar is now live M-Sat, 'til 2:00pm. Grab-n-go will be available seven days a week. New owner Lara Karakasevic is keeping your favorites but has plans to expand the menu and services. Lara, who grew up in St Helena, is an advanced-level raw food chef, and is currently completing her degree in regenerative detoxification (stop by and ask her what the heck that means sometime). Once again we want to thank you for your patience as we navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic. Many of our supplement partners--e.g. NOW, Nature's Plus, Source Naturals--as well as our distributors continue to experience significant shortages. Added to this is the fact that transit times are now longer, as the logistics companies, including the US Postal Service, experience employee shortages. So, if we are out of your favorite supplement, we can call you when it arrives (you may have to wait several weeks in some cases), or help you find something comparable.

With so much good wine and food in Napa Valley, it's difficult not to indulge. However, that sluggish feeling and those clothes that suddenly don't fit are sending you a message that it's time to cleanse and detox. Don't worry: most cleansing supplements are very gentle. You'll be able to go about your normal activities. While cleansing we recommend that you also increase your daily exercise, drink plenty of water, avoid sugary foods, and eat lots of fruit and veg (darker colored foods--spinach, blueberries, etc-- have more nutrients).
