The Natomas 5K Run For Their Future scheduled for October 1, 2016 will replace the Natomas Duck Pluck. This is a community event designed to raise money to help local kindergarten through 12th-grade students, potential leaders of tomorrow. Fun Run to Replace Duck Pluck Festival ! New Year, fresh ideas, new twist! The Natomas Schools Foundation’s big fundraiser this year will be an October community Fun Run designed to raise charitable funds through fun, healthy, exercise that will appeal to residents of all ages.... The tentative date for the Fun Run is Oct. 15. Meanwhile, the foundation has plenty of work to do, including choosing the Natomas course, soliciting sponsors, and publicizing the charity event so runners can mark their calendars. All money raised by Natomas Schools Foundation, including proceeds from the Fun Run, will be used to support academic, artistic, athletic and other school-related activities of all students within Natomas Unified School District boundaries. The Fun Run will replace the Natomas Schools Foundation’s annual Duck Pluck Festival, a community festival highlighted by a $100-a-ticket raffle giving participants a chance to win a top prize of up to $10,000. That's a wrap!!! NSF President Robynne Rose Haymer presenting Inderkum High School student Mateo Ramirez from the IHS Track Team their proceeds from the Natomas Duck Festival held in May 2015 . All schools and school organizations who participated in the festival should expect to receive their proceeds in the next few days !

Thank you to everyone who attended the 6th Annual Natomas Duck Pluck Festival yesterday! We hope you all had a great time and we will see you all at the 7th Annual Natomas Duck Pluck Festival next year!! Congratulations to our Duck Pluck winners , Top prize of $3,000 was won by Rita Quesada, whose ticket did not specify a school. Second prize of $750 was won by Jennifer Stefani of Natomas Charter School. Third prize of $250 was won by Joann Day of Two Rivers Elementary School. Prize amounts were proportional to tickets sold.

Thank you to the NELP & AT&T team who spent their Saturday volunteering at the Duck Pluck. Our event can't happen without our volunteers! Thank you all!

We are so thankful to our NUSD custodians and for all their support and assistance the day of the Duck Pluck. They are the best!

Students from NP3, Natomas Charter, District 1 YAC, and Inderkum volunteered at the Duck Pluck today for almost 9 hours !! They ROCK!!!
