#NVCSLLive | Sunday’s in May Our Call to Freedom Join Rev. Jay Lang & Napa Valley Center for Spiritual Living for PRIDE MONTH 2021 with the June Theme, Our Call to Freedom and This Week's Topic, "The Soul’s Call to Freedom" Our special guest musician this week is Shauna Marshall, and our practitioner is Diana Browning, RScP, offering a spiritual reflection. From the Heart of the Napa Valley, Shauna Marshall dishes up original, soulful and savory lyrics over smokin' hot bl...ues, rock and pop melodies. She got her start singing at Napa Valley Center for Spiritual Living over 20 years ago, when she wrote her first song for a Foundations Class Project. Soon she was singing at Science of Mind Churches in Northern California, but the music called her down a different path to star in local musical theater and with her popular blues band, Nuclear Blonde. Shauna has shared the Napa Valley Opera House stage with blues legends like Tommy Castro, and sang duets with Johnny Smith, John Nemeth and Steve Freund. She has played popular North Coast clubs of the California blues scene like Biscuits and Blues and North Beach's oldest bar and home to Janis Joplin, the Saloon. Now her journey comes full-circle back to where it all started at the Napa Valley Center for Spiritual Living where she is a featured performer and as well as the Center's Creative Director. She wrote all of the songs, including the title track for her debut album "You Don't Know Me But You Should" which she released with her band in 2015, and is currently working on an album of her spiritual music called "Breathing Lessons" set to release this Fall.

Once we recognize our Higher Power/God/Infinite Intelligence/the Universe as the Source from which all things come, we get a deeper understanding that the abundance we seek is available to us at all times. Abundance is always all-around us and always flowing to us. All that is required in order to tap into abundance is to tune into the Divinity within, with appreciation for what we have now, and watch it expand. - Heart, Mind & Spirit Recovery Reading I learned the basic law of prosperity the hard way. Several decades ago, life looked hopeless for me. Widowed and with an infant son, I had no training for any type of work, and therefore, no means of income. My family during that period was not able to offer much financial assistance. If you could have seen me then, you would doubtless have said, ‘Prosperous thinking or no prosperous thinking, there goes a hopeless case.’ It was during this miserable period that I learned about the power of our thinking as an instrument for success or failure. It soon became plain to me that my previous failures were due largely to my previous failure thinking; but that same power of thought, when rightly directed, could be the key to healthy, happy successful living. I then excitedly surmised that my potential wealth, health and happiness were actually within me, waiting to be radiated outward into my world as healthy, wealthy, happy thoughts, feelings, expectations and decrees, which in turn would attract like results into my life. Truly the laws that govern prosperity are just as sure and workable as the laws that govern mathematics, music, physics and the other sciences. Catherine Ponder, The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity Quote There are no ends or beginnings. There is just a constant flow of universal abundance and you are in the midst of it all. Roxana Jones Discussion Questions 1. How does the power of your thoughts affect your abundance? 2. In what areas of your life can you affirm more abundance? Ending Affirmation I feel great when I remember that God is the source of my abundance.
