Help us make it a #HappyNewYear for #seniors! As the clock ticks away, consider making a gift to help more neighbors who rely on our services in 2022. What our clients say... To know that a pleasant and friendly person will call you at the same time each week is very comforting. It helps if you are feeling depressed or are having some anxiety (receives Ambassador volunteer calls). Mary My mom is 85 years old and does not drive. I work all day and could not take her I like the (South County Transit Services) because my mom goes and talks to other people. She can also go do some classes at the senior center and that always helps. Milly Thank you for the important work that you do for our health care system and the community. I felt like I was in the dark and now I have information that I need. Jennifer Please make a year-end tax-deductible #donation that will make a difference in the lives of seniors living right here in Santa Clara County. https://www.mysourcewise.com/support-sourcewise/donate/

More than a dozen corporate, community groups and schools volunteer to create handwritten cards for homebound #seniors. #Sourcewise is grateful to so many #volunteers for sending a record amount of handmade and traditional #holidaycardsmore than 1900+. Volunteers completed more than 230 hours of volunteer service and the hours will receive a matching donation from the California Department of Aging, which will directly support the Meals on Wheels program.... This holiday season, help nourish homebound #seniors. Some seniors in our community may be spending the holidays alone. With your help we can continue to work to reduce hunger by providing 14 nutritious home delivered meals to seniors through our #MealsonWheels program. Boyd said, My wife recently passed away, but I am very grateful to Meals on Wheels since she was happy with her meals.... Providing nutritious home-delivered meals is just one of the many ways we are committed to keeping our most vulnerable seniors safe and healthy. Please #donate to #Sourcewise to help provide critical resources and services that help our neighbors thrive all year long. https://www.mysourcewise.com/support-sourcewise/donate/

Sourcewise has been supporting older adults in Santa Clara County for more than 48 years and a lot has changed in that time. Perhaps most of all is the way that we connect as a community. For many #seniors, the COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated and at the same time, highlighted the negative impacts of #socialisolation more than ever before. Without access to technology or the lack of foundational knowledge of how to use it, many seniors were on their own. But with your help, we can work to reduce the digital divide among older adults through our #DigitalInclusion Program and connect seniors to volunteers who provide friendly wellness calls in our #Ambassador program. #Donate today! https://www.mysourcewise.com/support-sourcewise/donate/

This #GivingTuesday help local #seniors who shaped our neighborhoods. Our seniors paved the way for the Santa Clara County community. Their work shaped the schools we attended, the places we live, and the people we’ve become. They grew our food, delivered our mail, taught us multiplication, and prepared our lunches. They stood up for change. They envisioned a better way. They even revolutionized our technology industry and even helped us be the first to travel to the moon.... The seniors of Silicon Valley were once teachers, scientists, waitresses, activists, professionals, agricultural workers, soldiers and leaders. Their friendliness made our community truly feel like a community. They were the mentors who believed in us. They were the parents and grandparents who shared their love. Our elders have given so much and now it’s our turn to return the favor. #Donate a gift to support #Sourcewise’s mission today. https://www.gofundme.com/f/support-seniors

This Thanksgiving, we are grateful to the wisest people we knowour elders. Not only do they teach us a thing or two about life, but they also act as a living connection to history. Seniors serve as our cultural memory and help instill valuable family traditions. Our dedicated team of professionals are working with thousands of seniors, their caregivers and persons with disabilities across Santa Clara County so they may thrive. #Donate a year-end gift to help #Sourcewise continue providing these vital services. Any amount helps. https://www.gofundme.com/f/support-seniors

Sourcewise is distributing over 1,300 Google Home devices and providing technical training in partnership with the California Department of Aging along with many nonprofit partners. The Google Home speaker has helped me tremendously. Google translate helps with translation from English to Spanish and ans...wers difficult medical questions I may have. I use it to set my alarm, listen to music, etc. Simply put, it makes life easier for me, said Sally Sifuentes. Volunteers building communities of strength. Older adults are still working hard by volunteering their time and talents through our Advisory Council, Ambassador program and as Health Insurance Counselors. We are inspired by Ambassador volunteer, Laurie Pines, member of the West San Jose/Campbell Chapter of the Lions Club, for making weekly wellness calls to homebound seniors.
