Hey, SAH Family....please help welcome to the world a new family of Frenchies born via c-section at the hospital this week! We could all use some happiness, and these little guys can’t help but lift the heart. We also wanted to update you on the latest pivot required by our county’s change back to a more restrictive tier of Covid requirements. As many of you know, we have been making every effort to welcome people into the hospital with their pets, and we will continue to do... so whenever possible. However, due to the need to reduce occupancy in the building, we are asking that you please wait in your car until we have a room ready for you to go directly into rather than waiting in our lobby. In addition, it is critical that each person who comes to the hospital carefully evaluates their risk.....if you are experiencing any symptoms of illness (most particularly fever, shortness of breath, or loss of taste/smell), have recently been in contact with someone who has tested positive OR have a pending test yourself, please help us keep our staff and other clients safe by not entering the building. Please know that ALL of us feel your stress and worry for your furry family members and we are striving to do everything possible to make hospital visits as smooth as we can during an incredibly challenging time, but we cannot succeed with your honest help in keeping staff safe and our doors open. As always, we are here for you and will continue to be....no matter what challenges come our way. See more
Happy Halloween from SAH!
What goes into becoming a veterinary technician? A LOT! They not only have to go to school for at least 2 years, they also have to rotate between many other clinics in the area in order to gain hands on experience. They then have to take an intense and extensive exam and apply for their license through the board of veterinary technicians and so much more! So the next time you see one of our technicians, make sure you thank them for all of their incredibly hard work! They are the ones making our clinic happen and giving all of their love to your pets when your furry family members need it the most!
More of our amazing technicians! Every year we have a theme to celebrate tech week...this year, we chose nothing more appropriate than EMERGENCY, DISASTER, SURVIVAL MODE. Because it’s the theme of 2020
iiiiit’s VET TECH WEEK!! We’ll be posting about our amazing vet tech heroes all week- here’s some of our RVT’s doing a dental procedure on a canine patient. Betsy, monitoring anesthesia while Tiffany and Katy work together on suturing up an extraction site. Do you have any stories of when a technician helped you out at SAH? Leave a comment below to show some love!
Here’s some fun clips of our patients that came in for physical therapy appointments today!
What an amazing home this big guy found!
As always....we are committed to providing the exceptional care that your furry family members deserve, but as this video so eloquently illustrates, we are facing unprecedented challenges to making certain that every pet gets their needs served. Please join us in welcoming our new doctors as we have them join the SAH family, and recognize that this is just one of the ways that we are addressing the increased demand for appointments.....we can’t wait to see you all, but ask for your patience as we all navigate these changes together!
We’ve had the pleasure of caring for our friend Garry the Frenchie over the past few weeks. He’s come to the hospital almost every day for us to treat a stubborn eye ulcer and while we will miss seeing his smoosh face, we are so happy the Opthalmologist cleared him from daily treatments! And a big thank you to Garry’s mom, Barbara for bringing tasty treats to our staff to enjoy. Come visit us anytime Garry, but maybe just to say hi
Fae wants to run this staff meeting
8 weeks ago we were doing a C section to safely bring these baby floofs into the world. Today we got to snuggle these floofs during their first puppy exam! Anyone have any weight guesses?? (How many shots does it take to get ONE good one?? )
Hello to our SAH friends and family- here’s is our most recent update
When it’s past snack time and you’re willing to munch on anything
Ginger came in for her first puppy exam today! She may have slept through a lot of it, but we were sure to get her started off on the right paw by discussing her vaccine schedule, puppy socialization/training (with our in house dog trainer, Jean!), and preventative care all while this sweet angel dreamt of being at the puppy milk bar. #rufflife
