ALVARADO STREET CLOSURE TUESDAY and WEDNESDAY - 5/19 and 5/20 8:00AM to 5:00PM The Monterey branch will remain OPEN from 10:00am to 3:00pm during the upcoming improvements to Alvarado Street next week. We’ve been notified that the City of Monterey will be closing the entire length of Alvarado Street for surface grinding and preparation on Tuesday, May 19, from 8:00am to 5:00pm, and street repaving on Wednesday, May 20, from 8:00am to 5:00pm.... Alvarado Street will reopen for traffic Tuesday evening after 5:00pm, although the street will be rough with uneven paving. On Wednesday, once the paving has been completed and the street has been swept, Alvarado will reopen for traffic. The sidewalks along Alvarado will be kept open both days. Any questions about the street closure should be directed to the City of Monterey Engineering Department.
We’re coveredare you? We’re complying with the most recent order from the County of Monterey Health Department that went into effect on 04/30/2020 so you’ll see everyone in the bank wearing a face covering. Clients, employees, visitorsanyone entering any of our branches needs to be wearing a face covering. We hope you know our smiles are still there.
Please pardon our dust at the Monterey branch beginning today. It isn’t actually our dustthe City of Monterey is improving the curb accessibility at the corner of Alvarado and Pearl which comes close to our front door. The pink paint in the photo outlines the area that will be under construction. The project is expected to last a week. We are OPEN so please navigate carefully!

Pacific Valley Bank employees volunteered at one of our favorite PVB-sponsored events this weekJunior Achievement Finance Park held at the Monterey Fairgrounds. Our employees enjoy it as much as the students they meet. Jennifer Kuyper, Sue Storm, Patti Johannsen, and Terri Sisk took time for a quick picture. JA Finance Park provides an innovative and interactive environment for middle and high school students to develop financial literacy skills and experience the basic economics of life with support from knowledgeable local volunteers. Check it all out at Junior Achievement of Northern California!
