Our missionary is caring for the needs of others in Africa. How are you caring for the needs of those in your neighborhood? We can all help someone. Repost from @z_evan_elliott Last week my team and I worked on building a house for a widow and her family of 7 children. The house was not very large, three small rooms in total not much bigger than the master bedrooms in most California homes. The house build was interesting and like nothing I’ve worked on before. Placing r...ocks in between slats of wood so mud can be spread on the walls and a metal roof. people of the local tribe saw that we were building this house and came from around the local area to help complete the project. When my team and I had finished our work on the house the widow was so happy and crying that she had a home for her children. She was so happy she wanted to give us a small baby goat which would not have been necessarily cheap. We asked her to hold the goat for us and to use it to celebrate in a year. This was an amazing experience to share the love of God and gain amazing Insight in the tribal culture. I was so exited to bless her and I pray she and her family are continuously blessed. See more

There comes a time in everyone’s life where we move from baby food to real people food. It should be the same with our spiritual lives. Great report from our missionary in Tanzania. Repost from @z_evan_elliott My team and I are doing a lot of work In Tanzania. We spent a week in a place called Matala, deep in the bush. Well over 3-5 hour drive to the next city. Here we found a people who had never heard of Jesus and some who had never seen a white person before. We spent a lot of time talking to people about the Gospel. We slept in tents and hiked through the desert to get to these people and found that the...y were excited to see us and eager to hear what we had to say! We visited the local dispensary clinic and talked with the staff. It was great to see people doing good work way out there. After Matala we went to a place called Sengita. There we took food to families who couldn’t support themselves and provided other needs to the local children like soap and other such supplies. I realize that life is hard out in deep Africa, but people are happy, kind and loving. I see many of the hardships that people have to go through and I struggle with the idea of this kind of life. I’ve seen people, children who have been injured for months and they can’t or won’t get treatment for it. I’ve seen the lack of food or clean water and it’s effects. I see a struggle with many things and many single parents that find it so hard to provide for their families. I struggle not being able to provide for every need I see, and not being able to help the sick and injured. There are so many and it’s hard knowing can only do so much. I cannot help every need but I can do what God sent me to do and I will do it gladly! I know the Lord loves them and wants them to know this and I see that the people are want this relationship.
