In December, we are celebrating Abilities Awareness Month. To honor #MVWSD's commitments in moving towards equity and inclusion, help us bring the voices of people with diverse abilities into your classroom or homes, and create a learning environment that rejects ableism. From lessons on art, activism and physical disabilities to education about new developments in Universal Design, these resources will help you and your children embrace diverse abilities and understand the injustices people with disabilities often encounter. Together, we can appreciate our abilities and celebrate our common humanity. See the attached graphics or get a closer look at https://www.mvwsd.org/bettertogethermvwsd (Includes Spanish) #BetterTogether

County of Santa Clara Public Health Department strongly recommends alternative festivities in lieu of traditional activities. Rather than trick-or-treating or costume parties, consider focusing on decorating, limiting activities to the people with whom you do not reside, and opting for virtual costume parties. https://www.sccgov.org//press-statement-09-28-20-joint-sta

The State is requiring regions that reach 15% ICU capacity to implement a temporary Stay-at-Home Order. Bay Area Health Officers jointly announced that they wi...ll not wait until hospital capacity reaches that critical point and will implement the Orders starting December 6. Lack of ICU capacity means that you and your loved ones may not receive the care you need if you fall seriously illwith COVID or otherwise. This holiday season, it is absolutely critical that everyone stay at home and not leave for anything other than essential activities. We’ve flattened the curve before and will do it again.
