The Potocki Center for the Arts is now offering fun virtual and in-person art classes for all ages. Help your child explore the creative world with Potocki Family Art Time in-person on the back patio at the center or learn about music with Juilliard-trained pianist Beth Sussman during eight joyful and engaging music workshops right from the comfort of your home. /Mission Viejo Friends of the Arts Space in the Gap and the Mission Viejo Friends of the Arts work together to showcase local South County Artists. Mission Viejo Friends of the Arts features local artists: Marie Dixon, Jenni Nonaca, Marlene Gerloff, Cynthia Niermann, George Katzenberger, Denise Katzenberger, Irfan Murtaza, Vickie Green, Jack Knight and Shagufta Khan. Artworks represent a diverse and exciting selection of medium from photography, collage, watercolor, giclee, ...painting on canvas, painting on wood and acrylic on flamed colored copper. The Mission Viejo Friends of the Arts vision is to inspire and engage the community in the arts. They have hosted concerts, exhibits, and workshops. Working with the Space in the Gap has been inspiring because the intention is to help revitalize businesses that have struggled during this difficult pandemic. Our hope is to bring color, vitality, and collaborative success to the community. A special reception for this first reception is scheduled for Friday, May 7th from 6 pm to 9 pm. The reception will also showcase an array of additional gallery and artist residency spaces within the Kaleidoscope. We look forward to hosting additional exhibits, workshops, and programming. The Mission Viejo Friends of the Arts Gallery is located at space 315 and will be available for special appointments. For information, please call 949 470-8440.
