The California High-Speed Rail (HSR) Authority is developing an 800-mile high-speed train system that will operate at speeds of up to 220 miles per hour, connecting the state’s major urban centers. MVE has been contracted to provide Topo Design-Build Construction on the California HSR Construction Package 1 project from Fresno to Madera, CA. CP1 is the first significant construction contract executed on the Initial Operating Section of the HSR program. The contract value for ...CP1 is approximately $985 million, plus an additional $53 million in provisional sum. The construction area is a 29-mile stretch between Avenue 17 in Madera, CA to American Avenue south of Fresno, CA. The design and construction efforts for this important project will provide maximize mobility for users, reduce significant congestion, improve quality of life, and bolster Central Valley’s economic. MVE is providing professional services for the Livermore High School. The school is building a new $40 million athletics complex consisting of demolition of the existing gymnasium and pool and construction of a new 44,000 SF two-story gymnasium, team rooms, weight room, wrestling area, dance and exercise room, and a 38m x 25y pool facility. The project also includes new bleachers at the football stadium and expansion of the track from six to eight lanes. Last week, MVE was a part of the Self-Help Enterprise groundbreaking for Creekside Terrace in Mariposa. Construction is finally underway! The Creekside Terrace housing project is a 42-unit apartment complex, broken down into 31 units for low-income housing, 11 units for those with mental health disorders and will include a 3,000 square foot community building. Stanislaus Regional Housing Authority is providing rental subsidy for 24 out of the 42 units to be built at this beautiful site. This project will provide a route for improving mobility west and east through western Stanislaus County, connecting SR-99 in the City of Modesto to Interstate 5; Provide adequate capacity for the regional movement of traffic and goods; Enhance the local road network that would accommodate local agricultural traffic; Provide consistency with existing and planned local, regional and interregional transportation planning by implementing the planned transportation concept facility. A post construction ALTA is being prepared for the Annadale single family residential portion of the project. MVE submitted the approved the Transformative Climate Communities (TCC) improvement plans for Annadale Ave. In addition, the Annadale Single Family Final Map, Fresno Metropolitan Flood Control District (FMFCD) Plans, Street Plans, Underground Ut...ility Plans, and Street Light Plans have all been submitted for 1st review to City and FMFCD. MVE is working on the LogistiCenter at Southport project in West Sacramento. This 379,161 SF cross-dock logistic building is strategically located within the 650-acre, master planned, Southport Industrial Park. It will offer 36-foot clear height, 70 dock-high doors, four drive-in doors, 106 trailer stalls, 222 car parking stalls and a 135-foot truck court. According to Dermody Properties, Sacramento is experiencing an increase in tour activity for larger, e-commerce-compliant... buildings. The Southport Industrial Park is one of the preferred locations for companies serving the Greater Sacramento and Northern California markets. MVE is providing professional services for the Natomas Basin Reach B Levee at the Sacramento River. The length of this reach is approximately 9.5 miles. MVE is back on the Marysville Ring Levee project providing professional services. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is continuing repairs to the 7.5 mile long Marysville Ring Levee, which completely surrounds and protects the City of Marysville. The essential goal of this project has been to strengthen the levee and to protect it from the probability of water infiltration. To do this, soil, cement and bentonite clay is mixed with native soil to build a barrier or is directly packed into the trench itself. Here’s an update on the Crystal Cove Conservancy’s (CCC) Capstone Restoration project. MVE is back on-site providing professional services. The infrastructure portion of the project was completed back in June and is now focusing on constructing the $1.7 million 650-foot elevated pathway and boardwalk. Contractors has been busy installing the balance of the utilities and is finishing the final grading of North Beach Road.
