We had a fun night at Ginos last night. I am sorry for the peope that had a 45 min wait. It was our first night out post Covid. Thank you for all the love.

The best drummer/timekeeper I have ever worked with is Ed Eblen. Ed has a company called EPAD and they make practice pads for drummers. Ed has donated his EPAD practice pads to both Music and Kids and Gabriel House. We all want to thank you Ed and hope one day you may want to come out and talk with a group of our kids.

The first Earth Day was observed in the United States on March 21, 1970. Earth Day has been celebrated annually since then as a day to demonstrate support for e...nvironmental protection and is now a global event. 2020 marked the 50th anniversary with over 100 million people around world observing what is being referred to as the largest online mass mobilization in history. Hidden River Cave is located right in the middle (and underneath) the City of Horse Cave, Kentucky. The cave is operated by the nonprofit American Cave Conservation Association as a "living" exhibit and is part of the American Cave Museum. (This is my part-time job (in addition to music ) and I am proud to be able to share this as part of Earth Day 2021) The cave has quite a history. Music and Kids and its programs at Gabriel's House in Palmdale, CA have continued to provide music lessons to students in the Antelope Valley of California throughout the pandemic. To make this possible, they have also provided wifi hotspots to the students who did not have internet access at home. Music and Kids, the local nonprofit organization that provides the arts programming at Gabriel's House, is excited to hear that the City of Palmdale - Government is able to add a small percentage to our sales tax that will all come directly back to the City of Palmdale. This will allow the City to support community initiatives that will directly benefit the citizens of Palmdale. Right now, only 1 percent of the 9.5 percent sales tax you pay in Palmdale goes to the City’s gene...ral fund. Source: https://www.cityofpalmdale.org/Faq.aspx Just three-quarters of a percent more will add approximately $80 million to the City budget, which is suffering under the strain of COVID-19, turning an anticipated budget shortfall into an opportunity to do more for the citizens of Palmdale. Help us make this happen by contacting our City Council members. They will be voting on Tuesday, July 14 to decide if this sales tax will be placed on your ballot on Tuesday, November 3. If it’s not on the ballot, you don’t get a choice! Let our City Council members know you want a choice to improve your community. ACT NOW! This is a great opportunity for Music and Kids and Gabriel’s House, as well as all of the other community organizations and nonprofits serving Palmdale, because it will give the City of Palmdale the ability to support programming for its citizens, including what we are all trying to do for our community. The Trials of Gabriel Fernandez" is now available on Netflix. It is so incredibly sad to see what was allowed to happen to this young boy and so many more. This makes all of us at Music and Kids so proud to be administering the music programming at the City of Palmdale's Gabriel's House. This image was captured at the end of the documentary.... All of this attention has caused an upsurge in the number of families asking to have their children enrolled in the programming at Gabriel's House.
