MRC round #3 of Thursday Night Showdown is this Thursday night December 17th. We keep our distance off the track, but on the track its turning into a slam fest... between "The Legend Ben", "Little Joe", "Bush Wacker", "Billy the Kid" and myself "Home track advantage Musgrave". In the Super Stock class its anybody's guess who will be the 2020 champion, Willy took the top spot at round #1 and Ben set up a rocket car to take the top spot at round #2. So this Thursday night is a big deal between these 2 racers. The rest of the crew is all over the place trying to get the slot cars and there driving up to speed. In the Modified class Willy has taken 2 dominating wins to pull out a small lead over Billy, Ben, Bush and Joe. But after last Thursday night race we could see fire in the Legends eyes, we expect to see a fired up Ben Thursday night. Plus Joe's finger in Willy's face, I am going to kick you ass at the next race makes for some very interesting drama, and Bush quietly sits in 3rd place ready to pounce at this opportunity Thursday night. In the NEO class its been the Willy show for the past 2 races, he is waiting for someone to step it up Chuck and challenge him, at least for a lap or 2. This Thursday will be round #3, races start at 6:00pm and we finish up around 7:30pm. Results round #2 MRC Thursday Night Showdown, December 10th. We keep our distance off the track, but on the track is another story. The Super Stock race had Be...n leading Willy by 1 lap after 3 heat races. Half way through heat 4 Ben and Willy were tied on laps no more then 10 cars between them, but Bens pace took its toll on Willy as he sent his car flying across the room. Ben showed everyone why he is a multi time champion and dominated the middle to end of heat 4 to take the overall victory in Super Stock. Willy finished a strong 2nd and Joe took a solid 3rd place to round out the top podium spots. The Modified race was a Willy racing clinic, 222 laps total. Joe sent it hard with 215 laps and promises to kick Willy's ass at the next race. Ben took a solid 3rd with 206 laps, but I know that is not sitting good with him. I expect to see a fired up Ben at round #3. Ralph put in 201 laps to keep it close and Ron rounded out the top 5 with 195 laps. In the NEO/Open class Willy put in a strong solid race to lead the pack with 232 laps. Joe again sent it hard, flying off the track, to lay down 215 laps. Ron rounded out the top 3 with 170 total laps, if not for his 8 laps total in heat 1 he might of been a contender at the end. Next Thursday will be round #3, races start at 6:00pm and we finish up around 7:30pm.
