MUSEA Center for Intentional Creativity 04.02.2021

An Invitation for Women Artists to participate in our Open Call for Entry - Women Woven Together **NOW OPEN FOR SUBMISSIONS** https://imusea.org/calls-for-entry/... MUSEA : Intentional Creativity Museum is inviting women artists to participate in our Women Woven Together Open Call for Entry. We have created this special Art Call in honor of International Women’s Day and the upcoming convening of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (UNCSW) in March of 2021. Part of our mission at MUSEA is to give women an opportunity to express, through painting, their views and interpretations of the status of women and of our interconnectedness. This is a way to report on ourselves and be the ones creating the image of the Feminine we want to see in the world. This art call is the continuation of the work that our Curator, Shiloh Sophia, has been leading at The United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (UNCSW) for the last 7 years. For her Inaugural show at the UNCSW in 2013, Sophia presented a global show of over 40 women artists displaying the healing art of women and demonstrating the powerful impact art can have post trauma. This year, Shiloh Sophia will be one of the speakers at the NGO CSW65 Virtual Forum Parallel Event speaking on behalf of MUSEA. Save the date: 3/19 at 10:30am PT | 1:30pm ET. We will share more as details unfold. This is a juried show leading to a curated art exhibit that will powerfully express women being woven together through our self-expression, diversity, compassion, connection with the Earth and our awareness of each others’ experiences. This is an open call for entry, which means it is available to the general public. We invite you to share widely to encourage as much participation as possible! We look forward to seeing your painted image submissions!

Want to come ride the wave with us? Join us Saturday for our last class of 2020: www.musea.org/wave How would it feel to have the power to take action on behalf of your own healing instantly? Because you have tools 'at the ready' to react powerfully when trauma or challenges arise...... What if your magic wand aka BIG Magic paintbrush, was your guide to accessing your inner healer, and your canvas was the portal to get into the imaginal realm? Inviting these realms to move into agreement increases the capacity for your body to communicate with you exponentially. Our Curator and Founder Shiloh Sophia says this: "I have always been focusing on healing. From as early as I can remember, I wanted to access the power of healing I KNEW in my body was possible. I saw the brokenness of bodies, and spirits, and knew I wanted to help. What I didn't know is what form that would take. Who knew it would be painting and praying in dots! Now I practice 'riding the wave' with healing, coherence and creativity as my creative spiritual practice. I would love to share it with you." Shiloh Sophia, who has been teaching versions of Medicine Painting for close to 27 years, will be sharing two powerful tools you can use instantly to work towards healing for yourself and others. We look forward to making healing waves with you!
