You pool pump basket is your filters last line of defense against debris, it is important to keep the pump basket clean and clear of leaves and debris. Neglecting this can result in over working your pool pump and lowering it's life span and also limiting the water filtrating resulting in algae growth.

Ideal Water Height Most pool professionals agree that the water level in both in-ground and above-ground pools should be at the midpoint of the pool skimmer. The skimmer is responsible for providing a pathway for water to flow to the filter where it is cleaned.

Why Is My Spa Draining? What Is Causing This, and Can It Be Fixed? This can be fixed! The cause is what is known as a check valve. There may be either an existing check valve installed that needs replacing or no check valve at all. This valve uses a spring (or floater ball) inside it to allow the water to flow in only one direction. When the pump shuts off, water cannot flow back through the pool returns, which prevents the spa from equalizing and allow it to remain full. The parts inside of the valve can become worn over time, and in turn, cause it not to seal correctly after the pump and filter system times out. You can place dryer sheets around your pool area as their scent will be enough to repel the bees.
