3 quarters and 6 virtual conferences later, a year of ‘traveling’ has come to an end. Shoutout to our ChoMUN team for knocking the last conference out of the park, and ending this year on such an incredibly high note. We couldn’t be prouder of all the time and hard work everyone has put in, even when circumstances were less than ideal. To all the new members - we hope you enjoyed traveling as a part of our team this year as much as we loved having you. We hope you will con...tinue to do so in the years to come; it is evident from the talent and drive you’ve all displayed that there is a bright future for this team. To the returning members - we all know virtual conferences just aren’t the same as in-person ones, so thank you for sticking this year out and showing such perseverance. As things return to normal, we’re sure that you will all flourish and be excellent leaders in the team. To all the seniors - thank you for a truly astonishing run, the ripple effects of your leadership and care for the MUN community will be felt months after you’ve moved on to bigger and better things. And last but not least, special thanks to Danielle Rommerdahl , Rachel DuRose and Jamey Battle who have worked tirelessly year-round in these trying times. As queen head delegates, you have facilitated the growth of every member in travel team. Without you, it simply wouldn’t have been the same, and you leave large shoes to be filled. The MUN travel family are no strangers to love, you know the rules and so do they. From one of our delegate’s allocations changing from Bush to Obama, to the Pokemon crisis committee protecting Pokemon rights, our SBIMUN team had a fantastic time competing this weekend. We are so excited that all of our new travel team members performed as well as they did and that UCLA’s Fall Travel Team has bonded even during COVID-19. Everyone has truly made the best out of a less than ideal situation and MUN at UCLA couldn’t be prouder! We are excited to welcome David Shulkin, former Secretary of Veteran Affairs, to join us for a chat on Tuesday October 20th at 6pm! He was the Undersecretary of Veteran Affairs under Obama and then the Secretary under Trump. He will be talking about his experience in office and how he got into politics, as well as answering any questions you might have about it. See you there!

Our first Travel Team tryouts are this Saturday from 11am! This tryout is for UC Santa Barbara's conference which will take place online from November 13th-15th. - No prior MUN experience is necessary! There will be an info session on Friday about how to prep for tryouts... There will be another info session at 10:30am, day of, that will cover basic debate procedure so don't worry if you've never competed before - the head dels have you covered! See more
