We’ve been enjoying everyone’s photos and videos so much of their enjoyment of their new critters and support of our farm we decided we needed a place everyone can share, connect and make new friends! If you’re a supporter, customer or have a new family member or livestock from us you’re welcome to join us as a ‘Friend of Mullenax Ranch’!

The infamous Snowflake is now a Grandmother. Her daughter Aurora gave birth to a boy and girl tonight.

More states should look at expanded permitting and licensing for small farms and homesteads to practice safe food creation and sales direct to consumer or wholesale to local markets. The issue for small operators here in California is the cost of entry for obtaining a commercial kitchen, milk or dairy processing equipment, etc., per regulation. Locally sourced raw milk, for example, has been proven to have innumerable benefits but isn’t readily available in a legally sourced, food safe regulated outlet. State regulation in California is built for the big guys, and it would be great to see it become more friendly to navigate for small, local operators looking to provide wholesale food safe product.

Dear Customers, Supporters and Local Friends- Please be aware of the continuation of the High Speed Rail project, which would effectively put us out of business. Our property value would plummet as this is slated to be right across the street from us and is VERY noisy at all hours day and night. I don’t see us being able to stay in Tehachapi as a family or a small business if this project comes to pass here in Tehachapi.
